Tracey Calderón - Principal
Welcome to STEM Launch! I am honored to begin my first year as Principal and my 27th year in education. Throughout my career, I have served as a middle school Science and English Language Arts teacher, Instructional Coach, STEM Coordinator, Assistant Principal, and now Principal. For the past 15 years, I have been privileged to work in the Adams 12 STEM schools.

Nineteen of my 27 years in education have been spent in this building. I began my journey here when we were Niver Creek Middle School, helped open STEM Launch during its inaugural year, and returned six years ago as Assistant Principal. It is an honor to now lead a school and community that  I have been so passionately dedicated to for the majority of my career. 

I believe strong relationships, high expectations, and meaningful learning experiences help every student thrive. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling (and bringing home fútbol jerseys from all over), scuba diving, exploring new places, and spending quality time with my family. I am grateful to be part of the STEM Launch family and look forward to partnering with our students, families, and staff for another incredible year.

Rochelle Boyd - Assistant Principal
I am beginning my 30th year in education and all 30 have been in Adams 12. Prior to joining STEM Launch, I began my career as an 8th grade Math teacher for eighteen years before moving to Thornton High School where I spent 4 years as a Dean of Students. I left THS to join Thornton Middle school for one year as an Assistant Principal before “coming home” to STEM Launch where I have been an Assistant Principal and am beginning my seventh year. I grew up in Adams 12 schools as well.  I attended Woodglen Elementary, Northeast Jr. High, and graduated from Horizon High School.  I received my undergraduate degree from Metropolitan State and then earned my graduate degree from Arkansas State University.  

Relationships and community are true to my being.  My family is where you will find me spending time when I am not working.  My husband and I just celebrated 22 years of marriage and we have three AMAZING children who I refer to all the time.  Our oldest child is in college and our other two are Adams 12 students. My children are soccer players and if we are not at home, we are at a soccer field somewhere for training or games.

STEM Launch is my home; I am surrounded by amazing students, families, and co-workers.  I am grateful to walk this educational journey with this community.

Joshua Drozdowski - Assistant Principal
I am entering my 5th year in Adams 12 and my 6th as an assistant principal. My 19 years working in education started in Michigan where I taught high school social studies.  I taught English in Istanbul Turkey and Saudi Arabia prior to making the leap to Colorado and the mountains.  Most recently I have been the assistant principal at McElwain Elementary School in Adams 12.  I have had the privilege of supporting students across the K-12 continuum and traditional and alternative school settings. 

I earned my Bachelor's degree in criminology from Eastern Michigan University as well as my degree in social studies and history education.  I attended University of Northern Colorado for my M.A. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.  

I live in Longmont with my girlfriend, who is a school social worker, and our two pit bulls.  Outside of school I spend a great deal of time training and teaching jiu jitsu, watching sports and travelling when I can.  Being from Michigan I am a Lions, Red Wings and Tigers fan, but I can happily root for the Broncos and Avs (when they aren't playing Detroit). 

I am very excited to join the STEM community and think we're all going to do great things together!

Ms. Aimee Martinez - Dean of Students 
I am in my 15th year in education and in my 5th year as the Dean at STEM Launch. Prior to being a Dean at STEM Launch, I served as a Dean at Adams City High School in Adams 14, a 5th and 1st grade teacher at Twombly Elementary in Weld RE-8 school district, an English teacher in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a 2nd grade teacher in Aurora Public Schools. I earned a Masters in Educational Administration and Leadership from Grand Canyon University, a Masters in Elementary Education and a Bachelors of Arts in Human Development and Family Studies from Metropolitan State University of Denver. On a personal note, I am originally from San Antonio, Texas and grew up dancing (ballerina) and running track. I love to travel and garden in my free time. I have one extraordinary daughter who also attends school in Adams 12 and you can find us at one of her many extra-curricular activities after school and on weekends. I cherish being an educator and am proud to come from a family of teachers. I adore STEM Launch and treasure our families and community.
