STEM Launch Wins Bright Horizons Award

Earlier this week, we delivered the Bright Horizons award to our November winner, STEM Launch. Proud STEM Coordinator Felicia Evans nominated the school to for their Egg Drop Challenge. Oh, she also sent in our first video entry for the award.

Here’s what Felicia had to say about her school and students…

“STEM Launch Students engineer solutions in Annual Egg Drop Challenge…. at STEM Launch, 8th graders put their problem-solving skills to the test in the highly anticipated Egg Drop Challenge. After days of designing, building, testing, and refining their prototypes, students gathered to see if their creations could withstand the ultimate trial: being dropped off the school roof. The challenge wasn't just about protecting an egg it was about engagement, creativity, and perseverance.

Students worked collaboratively, applying engineering principles to design protective devices that balanced weight, structure, and impact resistance. Along the way, they learned to analyze failure, iterate on their designs, and celebrate growth-all hallmarks of authentic STEM learning.”
