Japanese culture kite workshop hosted at STEM Launch
- Collaborate
- Engage
The Japan America Society of Colorado brought Toki-sensei and his daughter Asami-san, Kite Masters from Tokyo, to come to STEM Launch to run a kite workshop for students from second grade through eighth grade. Toki-sensei taught students about Japanese culture and encouraged them to design their own unique kite, which they were able to fly. Watching the joy on students’ faces as they flew their kites high in the air was priceless. It was a moment of pure freedom and joy! We hope Toki-sensei can come back in future years. #AsianPacificAmericanHeritageMonth
