Five Star Schools join forces for Pen Pal exchange

Thornton Elementary and STEM Launch 2nd grade classes joined forces for an exciting Pen Pal Letter exchange as part of Benchmark Writing Unit 7! Students were thrilled to write to a real audience—their new friends at another school—and even more excited to know they’d get a letter back. This special project brought their personal narratives to life, turning writing into a meaningful and joyful experience. Sharing stories and making connections made writing feel more fun, purposeful, and full of heart!
