Second Grade
In December, 2022 - 2nd grade was visited by ELK (Environmental Learning for Kids).
ELK delivered: Who Polluted The SouthPlatte River?
An interactive program that took students on a journey down the South Platte River where students became water-users, learning about how Colorado’s most precious natural resource is used, polluted, and conserved as a finite resource. Topics covered included: pollution, conservation, aquatic ecology, finite/infinite natural resources,watersheds and how we get our water in Colorado.
The 2nd Grade Trout in the Classroom Program for the 2022 - 2023 year has had a Fishtastic Month. The trout eggs have hatched and students are now taking care of the Alevin. John Covert, from Trout Unlimited spoke to students about this incredible opportunity.
